Welcome students to United States History - Native Americans. This is a 4 week course that covers the Native Americans that live in four different regions of the
United States.
You will be wxpected to complete all reading assignments in your text the day that they are assigned. Be prepared to discuss the reading material the following day
in class. Any student that does not complete assigned readingss, will loose all school etra curricular privileges. After reading text pages assigned, students will be
required to post a written response to Reading Check questions online. If students do not have computers at home, they will have access to the school computer lab.
Your grade in this class will be dtermined primarily by tyhe score you earn on the quiz in Week 4 which must be no less than 100%. However, you will have access
to the quiz in the school computer lab before school, during lunch, and 30 minutes after school and may take the quiz up to 3 times a week and will receive immediate feedback on your performance. It is great if you earn a a score of 10% on one of these quizzes, but understand that you will still have to take the quiz again in week 4 and score 100%.
Students will complete all other assignments in cooperative groups which includes writing a 2-page paper, creating a 10 slide power point presentation, and giving
an oral presentation or creating a diorama. More details will follow regarding the assignments.
